News and Highlights
XL TDR® - eXtreme Lateral Total Disc Replacement.
A Study Investigating Minimally Disruptive Motion Preservation for the Lumbar Spine.
In conjunction with select SOLAS members, NuVasive is pleased to be sponsoring a clinical study designed to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of this lateral motion preservation system – XL TDR.® Like XLIF, XL TDR seeks to relieve painful symptoms associated with lumbar degenerative disc disease. However, instead of achieving pain relief through fusion (immobilization of the spinal segment), the two-piece construct of XL TDR seeks to relieve pain while maintaining motion at the spinal segment. Through thoughtful and careful scientific study, we seek to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of this device against other fusion procedures.
XLIF® Dilator Study 2nd Interim Analysis White Paper
Study results since the last interim report (White Paper 9500247, October 2008) continue to show a low motor neural complication rate, with no deficits related to the approach and any new postoperative issues resolving within the 6-week post-op recovery period.
XLIF for the Treatment of Adult Scoliosis Study
The XLIF for the Treatment of Adult Scoliosis Study continues. With 15 sites actively enrolling, an interim analysis was performed on the data received for the first 51 patients, with longest follow-up reaching 6 months.
